Nepal’s chase for a 286-run target against Canada got off to a rocky start on Saturday with the loss of both openers. However, Anil Sah provided a spark with a rapid-fire half-century.
Sah struck his 50 off just 20 balls, blasting 7 fours and 3 sixes in a display of aggressive batting. His whirlwind innings included a six to reach his half-century before falling LBW to Canada’s Ishwarjot Sohi in the same over.
Sohi also accounted for opener Aasif Sheikh earlier in the innings. Following these dismissals, captain Rohit Kumar Paudel and Dev Khanal are at the crease for Nepal, who have reached 112 runs in the 21st over.
